Jumping Rope Benefits

Jumping Rope Benefits

At first, I wasn't able to get what my close friend told me about this jumping rope thing. She often asked me if I have tried doing so, I told her that I already tried doing that way back when I was still in grade school. She then told me to try it now, I then told her that I don't have time, and that it's only a game for children. After a while, out of curiousity, I tried it. Since then, I always include this exercise on my daily routine. It was just then when i realized that doing jumping rope will also give you some benefits in return. That's the reason why most of the children who is very energetic and are playful are not fat. See below for the lists of benefits that I discovered while doing jumping rope.

Jumping rope can be done anywhere, It an be done without any other equipment, as long as you have the jump rope, then you're ready to go. Add this jumping rope exercise to your routine. I also included below the tips on how to do jumping rope properly.

Jumping Rope Benefits: Overall fitness
First is the overall fitness. Say for example, you are150 pound person, you will burn about 15 calories/mins if you jump in an easy going speed of 130revolutions per minute (RPM). It is really an overall body exercise which tackles nearly all muscles in the entire system. Below are the things that jumping rope will develop:
- tummy and waistline
-agility
-balance
-speed
-trimming the buttocks
-quickness
-coordination
-aerobic and anaerobic conditioning while toning
-BONE DENSITY

Jumping Rope Benefits: Compared to Other Forms of Exercise.
Compared to any other exercises, jumping rope is more efficient when we speak about the development of the cardiovascular fitness due to the fact that, when you are jumping it will include all the other parts of the body, you are using all parts of your body. The truth is, when doing jumping rope for about 10minutes, consider that you have performed the same cardiovascular exercise of about 30mins of jogging. This is when you are doing the jumping rope at 120-130RPM. Refer below for the cardiovascular equivalence when doing jumping rope at 120-130RPM in 10mins.

Activities:
-Cycling 2 miles in 6 minutes
-Handball 20 minutes
-Jogging 30 minutes at a moderate pace
-Running 1 mile in 12 minutes
-Swimming 720 yards in 12 minutes
-Tennis 2 sets

Jumping Rope Benefits: Type of Equipment.
Take note that when jumping correctly, your feet balls should land on the ground correctly. This is the reason why you need to have any cross training shoes that has an excellent forefoot padding. If you want to have a learning curve and effective training, u need to have the PVC Speed Rope. You can adjust the height as well as it is aerodynamic and lastly, your can turn it easily. I suggest that when you are doing the jumping rope, you select a good surface that has an equal give and also rebound (e.g. rubberized floor, wooden floor).

Jumping Rope Benefits: Measurement of the Rope to Use.
It is important to choose the proper length of rope to use when doing this exercise. There are different levels when you this exercise as well. For beginners, you need to stand on the center of the rope with one foot, this will help you locate the center of the jump rope that you are using. Next is, check if the tip of the jump rope handles reached to your shoulders, this will be the standard length. As soon as you start jumping with the rope, you need to look straight ahead, you need to keep your body upright, and your arms should be close to both sides and your elbows should be at 90degrees while you are making small circles with your wrists. You need to high enough (not to high not to low), it should be enough just to clear the rope to 3/4 off of the surface area. You should be able to skim the rope to the surface area while jumping. At this state, the measurement of the rope to your body should be approximately 12inches.

A shorter rope should be use if you are a pro/advanced jumper or a intermediate jumper, cause if the rope is short, that means it will turn faster. To do this, you need to measure the rope to your underarm instead of measuring it to the shoulder level. You can adjust the length of the rope if you want the rope to turn fast. Advanced jumpers will have to handle at the upper chest level for faster turns.

If you still think that jumping rope is just for kids, you need to think about it again. Above information are my personal experience. And I can say that jumping rope is not just for fun, but it is also good for our health. I recommend this one to you. This is one of the best home exercises thus far.
