Is Swimming Good For Weight Loss

Is swimming good for Weight loss

Holiday Season is over. Yes! Now, we have to face the truth that we (I myself is included) gain some additional weight. Don't tell me you didn't gain a single pound of weight after consuming those tasty mouth watering turkey from thanks giving, parties here and there.

Now, do you have any plans on how to lose that weight that you gain? If yes, then how? let me tell you one of my secrets to stay fit, sexy and at the same time, healthy. What to know the secret? OK, you need to read through to know it.

When i asked Google regarding the correct meaning of my secret, here's what he says "Swimming is movement through water using one's limbs, and usually without artificial apparatus. Swimming is an activity that can be both useful and recreational. Its primary uses are bathing, cooling, fishing, recreation, exercise, and sport." I have here a related article regarding swimming "Does Swimming Help Lose Weight". You might be thinking, Is swimming good for Weight loss? Very so. it is one of the best exercises that you can do because it exercises your arms, legs, back, and heart and lungs (as what is described by Mr.Wiki). I swim for about 20-30 minutes for 6-7 days a week. It is a great way to help loose weight and get in shape. Just a friendly reminder, "Don't eat for 30mins. before you swim." and don't forget to stretch before you get in the pool.

The amount of time you spend swimming depends on your fitness level, but most experts recommend about 30 minutes of cardio a few times a week.

However, the best way to lose weight is to vary your activities. A workout plan that incorporates different cardio activities (like swimming and running, or swimming and biking, etc) and strength training (such as lifting weights) is very effective and easy to stick to because you won't get bored with it!
