Does Fasting Help You Lose Weight

Losing weight can be very easy if don't consume anything. This simply means, you will lose weight gradually if you don't eat any foods. Anybody can lose weight that easy. Does this mean, fasting can help US lose weight? Does fasting can help you lose weight?

Well, I can't say that fasting is the answer to lose weight fast, nor or it will help us when losing weight. It has some advantage and disadvantages though if not use properly. A simple logic can explain why we lose weight when we do fasting. Simply because we don't take anything inside our body, so normally, we should lose weight. But take note, when you are fasting, your metabolism slows down. You can still do fasting, but that doesn't mean that you will not eat any foods. Of course, if you don't eat anything, what should your body use as energy if you don't eat food. Fasting is part of a diet program. But it should be followed properly.
Fasting is a part of a diet program. As what I've said, fasting doesn't necessarily mean that you will not take any food. An example of fasting would be "eating raw foods for just a period of days, or just by drinking only water for a period of time" it's just a part of your diet program. Fasting will help you cut calories but doesn't mean eliminating foods. Through fasting, the calorie intake in your body will decrease, and the stored fats will be used instead, thus you will lose weight.

The challenge now would be, how long can you do fasting? Challenging right? You can't do fasting forever. Once you got your desired weight, you will stop fasting, but, do you know that when you stop fasting, your appetite will gear up. Meaning, you will consume more than what you eat when you are still fasting. You feel hungrier and crave for more foods.


Fasting maybe good, in some way. But you should be careful and be used when using this program if you want to lose weight. If your body couldn't adjust to fasting, then you might gain more weight instead of losing them. As you fast, make sure that your body can adopt or adjust with your appetite. Eating less will make your metabolism low, however, you should not worry since the intake of calorie is also low, once your body get used to eating low, your metabolism will work the same way as it is when your not fasting. So, in the long run, you will lose weight fast when your body get used with fasting or with the diet program you're using.

If you are planning to lose weight but could not go to the gym, or could not perform the best at home exercises on this site. Then, here's some tips for you to follow on how to lose weight fast. Aside from exercise and workout plans that you prepared for yourself, you also need to avoid or stay away from foods that could help you gain more weight. So, here are some food list that you need to keep off in you dietary meals.

- Soda: Stop drinking soda. Did you know that by not drinking soda for year and replacing it with water will have you lose weight for about 40lbs? So, as early as now, you need to stop drinking soda.

- Coffee: You need to substitute coffee with something natural. I suggest green tea as a substitute, since green tea is a natural fat burner. Coffee on the other hand will help you increase the stress and as far as we know, it will also lead us to gain more fats. And before I forget, coffee increases your cravings.

- Green Tea: As mentioned above, you can take natural green tea which is good fat burner. You can lose more weight and at the same time it will help you detoxify.

- Stay away from alcohol/liquor. As what we all know, alcohol comes from a refined juice of natural foods that will makes us or you to drink pure concentrated sugar. And on our first step, we should avoid sugar. That's the first step. So, we should avoid this one.

- Alcohol: When going to the grocery store, I suggest you stay away from store snack aisle. Quit eating those potato chips, cookies, ice creams and a lot more. The thing with this foods is that they will help you crave to eat more, this is because of their taste/ingredients.

- Sugar: Staying away from sugar doesn't mean you need to eat a lot of salty foods. No. You also need to stay away from salty foods. This is due to the fact that salt as well as sugar will make you gain water weight which will make you gain more weight. I have written an article about water fasting to lose weight. - Processed Foods: This is the most important one. Stay away from processed foods. It's a must! Processed foods removes all the nutrients that our body needs, it doesn't have the ingredients that our body need to help us lose weight fast. Instead if contains all the anti lose weight ingredients like sugar, syrup, oils,and so on.

Lastly, before you buy foods, you need to check the labels as well as nutrition facts of the foods. Avoid all foods that has sugar content and foods that has a lot of carbohydrates because it will not help you lose that weight but rather will help you gain more weight. I strongly suggest to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. But don't just leave everything to diet, you also need to do some exercises that could help  you lose weight even more.

If you wanted to lose weight, I would say that there are a lot of ways on how to do that. There's a lot of diet tips and exercise routines that could help you lose weight fast. The question is, what program would best fit you? Or what are the best workout plans that suits you best.

Let me tell you this one great way on how to lose weight. It's very simple, yet very effective for me. You might have some doubts if this is true or not. I wouldn't force you to do it, but at least, you have to give it a try. It is called "Water Fasting". You only need to drink plain water and take no foods whatsoever. All you need is water alone. The question is, is it effective?

Let me give you a short history regarding water. For more than 100years now, water fasting has been the thing that almost every people have done, for the reason that it is good for their health. It is the safest thing that you need. As what I have read from the most trusted website of some doctors that made an experiment about water fasting. They said that "the most vehement objections to fasting are made by those who have never missed a meal in their lives."

The next thing that you have in mind might be, why do we fast using water? You might want to quote this line "The short answer to why you should fast is "that fasting helps the body normalize itself." If you have abused your body for long periods of time, it can serve as a great way to begin leading a healthier lifestyle. This is because it is easier for the body to return to its natural state of balance while under profound rest periods, such as when you are resting and water fasting, than when you are engaging in activity and eating."Although water fasting maybe a good example to a healthier lifestyle, I will not recommend you to use this method for a long period of time, as what I have said, this is just barely an introduction for your weight loss program. You know that losing weight is very tiring, thus, you don't want to fast without changing your lifestyle. Here's a deal, if you don't change your way of lifestyle, then I'd assume, your weight loss target while doing fasting will be just a waste of time. Why waste of time? Because if you will not change your way of eating, you will regain all the weight you loss in just a short period of time. Not just eating, but there's still more, I will just make (eating) and example.

How can you change your lifestyle you ask? Well, there's a lot of ways, let's make this water fasting as an introduction for your weight loss program. Let's assume you are welling to adopt to the changes, well, you might find out that water fasting is the best way to permanent weight loss. You need to eat solid foods, for example (broccoli, steamed veggies, squash and many more), you need to eat fresh fruits or yogurt. Take note, you need to stay away to all the acidic foods around you(sour foods, or spicy foods).

Lastly, not everyone is allowed to water fast or it's safe to do water fasting. There are also some considerations that you need to check. All pregnant women are encourage not to do such. Water fasting is not good for any pregnant women or any person who are under some medical attentions. Persons that are malnutrition, and have disorders on their liver and kidneys, also, cancer patients are not allowed to do water fasting. You need to consult to your personal trainer or personal doctor before you can do so. Or if you think you don't have any of the things that I've mentioned, you can do water fasting.
