24 Hour Medical Clinic Provides

Going to a 24 hour medical clinic in Houston can be a frightening event for elderly patients. There are many people waiting for attention and there may be no room to sit. The walk in can seem like a mile hike if you are ill or had an accident. If you go to a 24 hour walk in clinic instead of an ER, you will typically experience a shorter wait time. There will be wheelchairs available at both locations.

By going to a 24 hour emergency clinic or a 24 hour ER in Houston, the elderly patient has a better chance of receiving immediate help from the vehicle to the waiting room. The quality of medical attention at a 24 hour emergency clinic will be on par with what is available in an ER, but the speed of service and the availability of assistance will be better at the 24 hour emergency clinic. At a 24 hour clinic, there are wheel chairs available and often a person is also available to assist without a prolonged wait. If you elect to visit a 24 hour ER in Houston, you may need to wait longer to receive assistance getting into the waiting room because of the increased volume of patients.

Having a wheel chair available and help maneuvering it is a good benefit provided by Houston emergency clinics. When an elderly person visits a 24 hour ER in Houston, it is typically because of injury or illness. In either case, the ability to walk may be severely hindered. Wheelchair services are available for these patients at a 24 hour urgent care.

Wheelchair services are important for the elderly and sick or injured. You can be assisted into the waiting room and throughout your visit to a Houston 24 hour emergency clinic. If you have someone who is accompanying you to the 24 hour emergency clinic who can help push a wheelchair, they will need to get a wheelchair from inside the clinic's door and bring it to the vehicle you are in. Once you are in the wheelchair, you will be able to use it throughout your visit to the 24 hour emergency clinic. This can help the elderly patient feel secure because there is no need to walk through the halls of an emergency room in Houston. Someone can push the patient wherever needed.

We are very sad to report that James "Wilson" Speakmon-Coleman has passed away from the effects of Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC). The son of David P. Coleman and Theresa Speakmon-Coleman, both of Portland, Oregon, Wilson was one week short of his 19th birthday. In addition to his parents, Wilson is survived by his younger brother, Thomas, grandparents, and other relatives and friends.

Services were held April 10, at Mt. Scott Funeral Home, Portland. The family has requested that memorials be made to the NNPDF in Wilson's memory.

Our deepest sympathies to the Speakmon-Coleman family at this very sad time.

Kaitlyn Kay Bourgeault

With heavy hearts, we share the news that Kaitlyn Kay Bourgeault, the daughter of Deanna and Chip Bourgeault of Indian Trail, North Carolina, passed away due to the effects of Niemann-Pick Disease Type A (Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency or ASMD).

Kaitlyn and her family have touched and inspired so many with their strong faith and the support of their loving community, sharing their story and poignant photos through their family's blog, Kaitlyn's Korner.

Special Birthday

I've had a wonderful day! Breakfast with Aaron and Andrea and their 5 kids. Lunch with Maria and her son,Sam. Dinner with Larry at Olive Garden. (Thank you Joseph and Christina!) I'm stuffed full of fun, memories and food. My friends and family have all called, sent or brought by gifts and I feel very loved. I have a big smile on my face! I'm grateful for my parents and miss them as they are up in heaven. I appreciate all their sacrifices for me and their great teachings. I wish I could hug them and thank my Mother for bringing me into this world.
I'm 56 years old and was born in '56. So that is special. Also, I was told that I wouldn't live longer than a year with cancer if I didn't do chemo. I was also told that if I did the strongest chemo in the hospital and bone marrow transplant twice that I may live 3 years...but not with good health. It's been 3 years and I feel great and am truly blessed with wonderful health. I'm so thankful to all my loved ones and for their prayers and money and faith in my behalf. Also, I am so grateful to my loving Heavenly Father and for His great mercy in extending my life and healing me...and for His guidance to Dr. Burzynski. :) :) :)

Adelaida Kay Van Meter

We are very sad to report that we have received word of the death of little Adelaida Kay Van Meter, at the age of 20 months, due to Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD), i.e., Niemann-Pick Disease Type A.

The daughter of Murro Van Meter and Sophia Fox of Massachusetts, "Adelaida loved everyone and everything," writes her mom. "She especially loved singing songs, baby dolls, reading books, and going on adventures. No one ever told Adelaida she wasn’t supposed to be the happiest little girl in the world! Her vibrant personality brought joy to the lives of her family and friends. Adelaida was an old soul. Words cannot express how she will be missed. There will be an enormous emptiness for a long time."

NNPDF 20th Anniversary - 1992 - 2012

This year, the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation will mark 20 years of providing services to families affected by NPD, and raising awareness and funding for research into the causes and treatment of NPD.

Though we all wish there was no need for an organization dealing with the heartbreaking disease that is Niemann-Pick, the reality is, that until there are effective treatments and a cure, the need is great, and the NNPDF can be proud of all that it has achieved in the fight against NPD.

Edward H. Schuchman Research Fellowship - Request for Applications

The National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation is pleased to announce a request for applications for the 2012 Edward H. Schuchman Research Fellowship, examining the biology of Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD; i.e., Types A and B Niemann-Pick Disease).

M.D., Ph.D., and/or D.V.M. postdoctoral fellows are eligible to apply for funding to improve our understanding of the biology and pathogenesis of Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD; i.e., Types A and B Niemann-Pick Disease).

Preference will be given to research projects developing new therapies for ASMD, and for identifying biomarkers to improve diagnosis or to monitor disease progression and efficacy in clinical trials.

The fellowship provides support of $40,000 per annum for two years and may be renewable based on performance. Applicants must be currently associated with a recognized laboratory.

These fellowships are named for Edward H. Schuchman, Ph.D. a pioneer in ASMD research, and supporter of the NNPDF.

Gabrielle Christine LaVerde 8/24/01 - 2/17/12

It is with great sadness we report that Gabrielle LaVerde has passed away at the age of 10 years due to the effects of Niemann-Pick Disease Type C. Gabrielle is survived by her parents, Danielle LaVerde and Joseph LaVerde, and other relatives and friends.

The visitation for Gabrielle will be Tuesday, February 21, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Oaklawn Chapel of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 5000 County Rd. 46A, Sanford, Florida.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Westview Baptist Church, 4100 County Rd. 46A, Sanford. The Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home is assisting the family.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the LaVerde family in this very difficult time.

TREAT Act Introduced

NORD Supports
Transforming the Regulatory Environment to Accelerate Access to Treatments (TREAT) Act

U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (North Carolina) introduced the Transforming the Regulatory Environment to Accelerate Access to Treatments (TREAT) Act on February 15, and the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) has issued a press release in support of it.

Senator Hagan's statement describes the bill thus: "This bill empowers the Food and Drug Administration to ensure consistent processes and a clear and effective pathway that will encourage the development of innovative treatments to benefit patients, particularly subpopulations and those with rare diseases, and improve the public health."

NORD supports this proposed legislation which, among other things:

•enhances and codifies the accelerated approval process
•addresses concerns of the rare disease community related to conflict of interest provisions
•provides greater clarity, consistency, and transparency in review processes
•encourages innovation and adoption of modern scientific tools in regulatory science

Senator Hagan's statement mentions the flexibility study conducted by NORD earlier this year and the need to ensure uniformity in the application of flexibility.

Back from the Clinic

It's been a wonderful couple of weeks. Our new little grandson, Andrew, was born to Aaron and Andrea. He was born at home and is healthy and well. The next day, Larry and I flew to Houston, TX to see Dr. Burzynski. There is no sign of cancer at all. He has reduced the medicine he has me on to 3 times a day instead of 4. I need to have another ct/pet scan in 6 months and will need to go back to the clinic. He wants to make sure there are no stem cells left in my body. Everything looks really good. Still in remission!
Came home from the clinic and watched Aaron and Andrea's other 4 kids for several days and then flew to Utah to be with Jonathan and Carrie and there kids. We had a great time together! On the flight home, I met a darling young lady who donated $500 towards my medicine! She is soooo sweet.
Now I'm home and Thomas is engaged! He is marrying Tannis, who is a darling girl and we love her. That happened last night, on Valentine's. This weekend, we will be meeting her parents and going out to dinner.
Our daughter, Christina and her husband found out they are expecting a girl! We are so excited. They spent the morning at the hospital though as she has been spotting. She over excercised and needs to stay down for awhile. They say the baby is fine.

NIH Clinical Trials and You

New Web Site Launched

The NIH announced the launch of a new Web site titled NIH Clinical Research Trials and You, geared for those considering participating in a clinical trial.

According to the press release announcing the new site, "Clinical trials are essential for identifying and understanding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease. Research has shown that among the greatest challenges to recruitment of volunteers is the lack of general knowledge about what trials involve, where they are carried out, and who may participate."

This new Web site aims to help potential participants learn about clinical trials and make an informed decision about whether they should take part. The site includes sections on "The Basics," "Volunteer Stories," "Researcher Stories," "Finding a Trial." Also, "For Health Care Providers," "Educational Resources," a glossary of terms, and much more.

World Rare Disease Day on Leap Day

More Than 630 Partners to Join in Marking Rare Disease Day February 29

On the ultimate rare day---February 29th---millions of people around the world will be observing Rare Disease Day. And in the U.S., more than 630 patient organizations, government agencies, research centers and companies who have signed up as "Rare Disease Day Partners" (including the NNPDF), will join the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) in supporting the day!

"This year marks the 5th anniversary of Rare Disease Day," said Peter L. Saltonstall, president and CEO of NORD. "The event has grown every year and was observed in more than 60 nations last year. The purpose is to raise awareness of rare diseases as an important public health issue."

Gardening

We have a beautiful garden and I've reaping this morning. I just got 3 heads of cauliflower, 2 cabbages, radishes, tomatoes, cilantro, parsley, lots of lettuce and more. It's fun! But I miss my little grand daughter, Lily, because she is my helper when it comes to reaping. Now she lives up in Utah and I have to reap all by myself.

This weekend we leave to Houston to visit Dr. Burzysnki. I'm anxious to find out if I can start diminishing my anti neoplastins and then got off of them entirely. I'll do whatever the doctor says to do. I love going to the Burzysnki clinic. They are so positive and upbeat there, and have a wonderful spirit about them. I've packed my bags already and am ready to go.

I'm hopeful that our grandson will be born before we leave, as he was due last week. I love life and am soooo grateful for may more years ahead of me. I've been exercising and bike riding and just enjoying the beautiful weather. I've also started writing our family history. I'm eternally grateful to a loving Father in Heaven who was so merciful to me and who snatched me from an early death of cancer. I'm also indebted to Dr. Burzysnki and his staff as well as my wonderful family and friends. So many have prayed for me and paid for my pills. I want to bless other peoples lives and serve in whatever ways I can.

Masalah rayap di lemari sudah selesai, TAPI masalah sekunder akibat rayap belum selesai. Gara-gara rayap, lemari jadi agak rusak. Akibat lainnya adalah bau minyak tanah di kamar yang semerbak mewangi sepanjaaaaaaaang hari. Eh, jadi ingat sinetron GERHANA yak, jaman dulu sekali, haha.

Kenapa bisa bau minyak tanah?
Karena bapak yang membereskan lemari penuh rayap itu, menggunakan minyak tanah semacam itu lah untuk mengusir serangga-serangga itu. Alhasil, beginilah nasib dalam kamar menjadi bau minyak tanah. Hmm, ini sih pemiliknya yang 'terusir' karena minyak tanah, tidak tahan sama baunya! ckck.

Bisakah rayap 'hilang' karena minyak tanah?
Seperti yang pernah dibahas mengenai rayap, serangga yang satu ini sangat menyukai kayu dan selulosa lainnya. Orang-orang banyak menggunakan minyak tanah atau oli untuk mengusir rayap, karena memang rayap tidak menyukainya. Terbukti rayap di lemari sekarang sudah menghilang, diiringi munculnya bau minyak tanah yang sangat menyengat.
Sekarang masalahnya adalah berapa lama minyak tanah ini dapat bertahan untuk mengusir rayap? Menurut Suara Merdeka (2010), lama kelamaan lapisan minyak tanah ini pasti akan menghilang dari permukaan kayu di lemari. Dan mungkin saat itu rayap sudah bersiap-siap melancarkan serangan lagi. Who knows.
Yaah, cara paling bagus sih mengganti lemari dengan yang baru, yang pasti tidak ada rayapnya. Dan setelah itu menyiapkan obat anti rayap.

Masalah lainnya?
Okey, masih ada masalah lainnya ternyata.
1. Bagaimana nasib baju-baju saya?? terlantarkan di kasur, lantai, dan semua tempat yang mungkin.
2. Bagaimana nasib kamar saya?? berserakan barang-barang yang seharusnya diletakkan dalam lemari.
3. Bagaimana nasib saya?? menderita karena bau dan jatah tempat tidur yang sebagian diambil oleh baju-baju yang terlantar.

It is PDF, not Word

Di tengah cuaca yang hampir tiap hari mendung dan hujan, bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir bukan masalah. Hahaha. Walau badai menghadang sekali pun, semua rela dilakukan demi lancarnya skripsweet. Bahkan di hari libur, kampus tetap ramai!

Nah, kejadian tadi pagi yang akan diceritakan di sini adalah ketika saya datang ke kampus demi menyerahkan draft UP ke dosen pembimbing. Apa itu UP? UP adalah usulan penelitian yang merupakan proposal untuk melakukan penelitian dan menyusun skripsweet.

Karena dosen yang bersangkutan sedang sibuk dan saya pun tidak enak untuk mengganggu beliau, maka saya akhirnya tersangkut ke teman yang asik mengedit UP nya di kampus. Sebut saja dia X dan saya Y. X sedang mengetik di laptopnya dengan membuka dua windows dalam satu layar. Sebelah kanan adalah Word, dan sebelah kiri adalah PDF. Kami pun, X dan Y, mengobrol sambil membahasl tentang UP yang kebetulan memang seproyek dan tiba-tiba . . .

X: Loh? Loh? Kok gini sih? (sambil mengetik-ngetikkan sesuatu di laptop)

Y: Kenapa deh? (mendekat ke laptop X)

X: Ini nih, ngga bisa dihapus masa! (mencoba menghapus karakter namun memang tidak bisa)

Y: Mana? (memperhatikan) Lah! Itu kan PDF, ya ngga bakal kehapus lah..hhahaha

X: Ahaha, ah padahal selama ini udah ngga melakukan kedodolan. Tapi pas bareng Y kok malah dodol lagi yak..haha

Yap, ternyata si X keliru mengedit. Dia berencana mengedit tulisan di Word yang telah ia ketik, namun tadi ia salah mengira PDF di sebelah kiri layar sebagai Word. Hihihi. Masih geli membayangkan kedodolan tadi :p

Pendekatan Top-Down dan Bottom-Up

Pagi ini bagi saya adalah pagi yang sangat mengkhawatirkan. Pagi ini, entah mengapa dan bagaimana, kondisi psikis saya sangat jatuh. Seram yah. Mungkin karena saya terlalu memikirkan hal-hal kecil yang seharusnya tidak perlu dipermasalahkan.

Pagi ini:
- deadline tugas, namun belum terselesaikan
- kondisi tubuh yang tidak bisa diajak bekerja sama
- rasa bersalah karena telah membohongi diri sendiri dan lainnya
- dan semua itu muncul secara bersamaan.
Membuat perasaan dan hati yang utuh menjadi hancur tidak karuan. Benar-benar mengenaskan.
Seperti pendekatan top-down pada sintesis nanopartikel~

Setelah menjalani setengah hari dengan keadaan kacau, saya membaca sebuah kalimat:

Terlintas dalam hati, sepertinya saya sering lari dari masalah. Mau seperti ini terus? Diam tidak menyelesaikan masalah, kawan. Dan seolah angin segar berhembus [wuuussshh]. Saya menjadi bersemangat lagi, melanjutkan apa yang belum terselesaikan. Benar saja, saya berhasil menyelesaikan hampir separuhnya.

Amat sangat terkejut ketika mengambil kardus berisi susu bubuk dari dalam lemari, ternyata banyak binatang kecil, lunak, berwarna putih pada bagian badan, dan coklat pada bagian kepala. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! Menggelikan, seperti melihat belatung versi kecil. Euuuwww! Tidak hanya itu, binatang ini meninggalkan banyak kotoran berwarna coklat pada kardus yang saya ambil. Perasaan jijik dan geli itu terus terbayang. Niat awal ingin membuat susu pun jadi tertunda. Bagaimana bisa minum susu kalau yang terbayang adalah binatang-binatang itu?~

Oke, markisel! Mari kita selidiki dari mana asal binatang yang ternyata memiliki nama rayap itu. Setelah mengobrak-abrik lemari, tepatnya di tempat kardus tadi disimpan (menarik napas dalam, dengan slow motion menggeser barang yang ada), banyak sekali rayap berkerumun. Betapa MENGGELIKAN jenis binatang seperti ini. Tanpa berpikir panjang, saya segera mengeluarkan lemari. Hmm, semua isi lemari! Keadaan ini membuat kamar saya seperti kamar pecah, seperti baru mengungsi dari suatu tempat.

Berikut ini adalah akibat yang dihasilkan dari ulah rayap:

Motif cantik di dinding lemari bagian dalam, yang mungkin saya sendiri tidak bisa membuatnya :p

Cukup parah kelakuan mereka. ckckck. Sebenarnya siapa sih mereka? The answer is termite! hhaha. Bukan itu maksudnya, kita bahas tentang mereka saja yuks. Supaya lebih dekat dengan mereka. (Zzzz)

Rayap merupakan hewan yang terkadang disebut sebagai semut putih. Kenapa? Karena warnanya yang putih. Dalam bahasa inggris disebut termite. Hewan ini termasuk dalam ordo Isoptera yang berasal dari bahasa Yunani, iso berarti 'sama' dan ptera berarti 'sayap'. Arti seutuhnya adalah bentuk, ukuran dan susunan vena yang sama pada keempat sayap.

Klasifikasi:

- Kingdom: Animalia

- Phyllum: Arthropoda

- Class: Insecta

- Order: Isoptera

Nah, famili dari Isoptera ini ternyata bermacam-macam, jadi ada banyak jenis rayap. Setelah dicocokkan (bagian ini sangat membuat merinding melihat gambar banyak rayap), rayap yang menjadi tersangka utama di atas adalah dari genus Coptotermes. 

Menurut Termite Web genus ini merupakan genus rayap yang paling terkenal buruknya di dunia. Kenapa?  Karena Coptotermes dapat bertahan pada lingkungan urban di mana kebanyakan spesies rayap lainnya tidak dapat bertahan, dan juga bertahan dalam rentang yang luas dari tipe tanah. Pada ketiadaan kompetisi ini, mereka secara alami berproliferasi. Hebat! Hebat!

Ada banyak spesies dari genus ini, namun perbedaannya sangat kecil, hanya bisa diketahui setelah dilakukan pemeriksaan secara mikroskopik. Dari total 48 spesies yang diketahui, 23 berasal dari Asia. Tidak semua spesies bersifat destruktif, dan tidak masuk ke dalam bangunan, tapi jika iya, mereka akan lebih ganas dari spesies rayap lainnya. 

Dalam hal ini, koloni tunggal dapat mengurangi komponen kayu dari semua blok rumah menjadi kerangka hanya dalam waktu beberapa tahun. Mereka juga dapat merusak plastik, busa, tembaga, aspal untuk mendapatkan makanan mereka, yang tidak hanya terdiri dari kayu, tetapi juga kertas, kardus atau lainnya yang sedikit mengandung selulosa. Oh my, oh my!! Ganasnya!

Night Chit-Chat..

Percakapan antara imouto (I) to okaasan (O) desu. Percakapan berlangsung kemarin malam, ketika saya sudah memejamkan mata, namun masih dapat mendengarkan. *ups

I: Masa guru matematika di sekolah ku matre banget, siapa yang mau bayar dia bisa dapet nilai tambahan. Aku mau bayar dia juga donk"

O: Ih, guru apa itu. Itu namanya ngajarin ketidakjujuran. Ngga usah bayar dia"

I: Tapi kan aku mau dapet nilai tambahan"

O: "Siapa sih gurunya? Ntar kalo beneran yang bayar dapet nilai tambahan, biar bunda protes ke sekolahan"

Hmm, itu lah salah satu tindakan kotor guru yang mengajar di salah satu sekolah tinggi yang cukup terkenal di Jakarta Timur. Guru seharusnya mencerminkan nilai budi pekerti yang luhur agar dicontoh murid-muridnya. Namun sikap guru yang dibicarakan di atas sangat berkebalikan. Ini baru seorang guru, kita tidak tahu apa yang terjadi pada sistem pemerintahan kita jauh di atas sana. Semoga budaya seperti ini bisa dihilangkan.

Bocah dan Handphone

Saya akan bercerita tentang kejadian yang saya alami kemarin, tepatnya perjalanan pulang dari kosan menuju ke rumah. Ketika sedang berjalan ke arah halte, tiba-tiba saya diikuti oleh 2 bocah yang bisa dibilang kucel, dekil, dsb. Perasaan saya jadi ngga enak nih. Oke, saya tutupi perasaan itu dengan candaan ke mereka sampai muncul pertanyaan:

Saya: "Kalian emang mau ke mana dek?"

Bocah1: "Mau naik bikun kak"

Saya: "Ke mana?"

Bocah2: "Ngikutin kakak.."

Saya (dalam hati): "Ngik, mau ngapain nih bocah?"

Baiklah, saya akan mengikuti alur mereka sampai sejauh mana mereka berani jadi 'followers' saya. Ketika menunggu bis, mereka berceletuk:

Bocah1: "Kak, bagi goceng dong!"

Ah, i know what they want!

Bocah2: "Yauda, kalo gitu gocap aja"

Saya: "Eh, busyet deh, malak dek??" (sambil ketawa, antara maksa dan tidak)

Mereka masih kecil, teman. Kenapa mereka dididik seperti itu? I mean, masih banyak yang bisa dilakukan selain meminta. Apa karena mereka masih kecil, saya bisa tersentuh untuk memberikan uang begitu saja? No! Saya tidak tahun di mana orang tua mereka saat itu, tapi kalau ada saat itu, saya bisa meledak ke orang tuanya. Thanks God they didn't show up.

Dalam benak saya langsung muncul berjuta cara untuk menghentikan mereka jadi 'followers' saya.
1. Turun di suatu tempat dari bis, bilang mau kuliah = boleh lah dicoba
2. Duduk terus di halte sampai mereka juga lelah menunggu = hmm, ini sih saya yang lelah duluan
3. Naik ojek, jadi mereka tidak bisa mengikuti = no! mahal!
4. Naik kereta, biarkan saja mereka mengikuti sampai lelah *ketawa iblis* = agak tidak tega dan terlalu berisiko
Dan setelah diingat, ditimbang, akhirnya diputuskan untuk menjalankan rencana 1 saja. Sebenarnya masih kurang percaya, apakah mereka benar-benar akan mengikuti saya.

Ah, akhirnya bis datang! Saya bersiap naik dan...

Bocah1: Kakak, jangan naik bis yang ini! Ini mah ke arah Bandung!" (sambil narik baju saya)

Saya: "Aduh dek, saya mau kuliah, ntar telat nih!"

Apa-apaan coba mereka! Mereka tidak kenal saya tapi berani seperti itu. *kesal*. Sambil menaiki bis yang penuh, saya memperhatikan mereka. Guess what, mereka juga ikutan naik. Oh My!!! Sepanjang perjalanan menuju tempat yang direncanakan, mereka benar-benar berisik, mengganggu penumpang lain. Cepatlah sampai!!

Ketika sampai tempat tujuan, bisa ditebak lah ya, mereka pun turun. Mereka benar-benar mengikuti saya.

Saya: "Udah sana pada pulang, mau kuiah nih, dosennya galak!"

Bocah2: "Mau ngikutin kakak aja!"

Saya jalan, mereka tetap mengikuti.

Saya: "Dek, mau pulang atau saya panggilin satpam? Saya serius, jangan ketawa kayak gitu, ngga ada yang lucu!!"

Bocah1: "Minta seceng kak, kalo engga minta kacamata kakak, atau jam tangan kakak"

Parah! I was going crazy. Really really.

Saya: "Oke, saya panggilin satpam, ayo ikutin saya!"

Saya pun berjalan ke pos satpam, ternyata mereka tidak berani mengikuti. Saya tidak jadi memanggil satpam, langsung saja saya masuk ke halaman parkir. AH! Mereka masih muncul!!! Baiklah, saya memutuskan untuk duduk di antara bapak-bapak dan ada satpam juga di sebelahnya (hahaha). Saya menunggu sampai bocah-bocah itu hilang dan pulang dengan jalan yang berbeda agar tidak bertemu mereka lagi. And I did it! Fiuuuhhh, perasaan lega ini sangat luar biasa.

Ingin rasanya bercerita tentang kejadian ini ke teman. Saya mencari handphone saya dalam tas. Mencari, dan terus mencari.

Mamaaaaaa!!!! HP saya tertinggal di kosan!! What a day!! Dan saya berencana untuk tidak kembali ke kosan ketika weekend, which means saya tidak akan bersama HP saya sampai hari Senin tiba.

Itulah sepenggal kisah saya kemarin. Benar-benar ter-la-lu.

I have written about YouTube artists long ago, and now i wanna share anothers..

1. Kurt Hugo Schneider
Orang berbakat yang satu ini adalah komposer, produser musik, musisi (pemain segala jenis alat musik), sekaligus penyanyi. Lengkap yah! hhaha. Lewat kanalnya KurtHugoSchneider di YouTube, dia mengunggah semua garapan video musiknya. Bukan video biasa, karena memang garapannya bagus dengan berkolaborasi bersama  penyanyi YouTube lain, seperti Sam Tsui, Jake Bruene, Tyler Ward, Olivia Noelle, dan lainnya. Biasanya Kurt tampil sebagai pemain musiknya. Setelah sekian lama dan karena banyak fans yang meminta dia untuk menyanyi, akhirnya dia membuat video musik dengan Kurt sebagai penyanyi sekaligus pemain musik. Oh iya, ada kabar juga kalau saat ini Kurt sedang sibuk shooting "College Musical The Movie". Sebagai pemain? bukan, dia sebagai directornya. Salah satu pemainnya adalah Sam Tsui. *wooo, mantaaab*. Penasaran bagaimana Kurt bernyanyi? Yuk kita lihat salah satu video musik Kurt, just him, berikut ini:

2. Sungha Jung

Dari namanya sudah dapat ditebak. Yap! Dia berasal dari Korea Selatan. Ngapain sih dia? Anak yang satu ini sangat mahir bermain gitar. Kanalnya yang bernama jwcfree di YouTube berisi unggahan video dia bermain gitar. Dengan bakatnya ini, ia mampu menarik perhatian pengguna YouTube. Bahkan, anak yang lahir tahun 1996 ini, sudah banyak tampil di beberapa negara karena kemampuannya ini. *tepuk tangan*. Mari kita simak bagaimana dia bermain gitar:

3. Oscar | Audhy | Febri

Nah, kalau yang ini dari mana hayo? Mereka dari Indonesia, hhihi. Setelah ada Gamal, Audrey, dan Cantika, sekarang muncul mereka itu. Somehow I found their video "Dilema (Cherrybelle)" and I like this version. Memang belum banyak video cover dari mereka, tapi dari video yang sudah ada di kanal OzzieAquisto dalam YouTube, manunjukkan bahwa kualitas suara mereka memang bagus. Penasaran? Ini nih salah dua videonya:

Morning Talk..

Percakapan ayah (A) dan saya (S) tadi pagi..

A: "Kak, pernah denger mahasiswa lulus dengan nilai yang dikatrol ngga?"

S: "Emm, pernah. Kenapa Yah?"

A: "Biasanya dikatrol berapa? Kalo 4 jadi 8 gimana tuh? Semisal ini kurang dari 8, dia pasti ngga lulus, padahal mahasiswa angkatan 2007"

S: "..."

Akhirnya, yang melanjutkan obrolan adalah okaasan to otousan desu. Seandainya itu terjadi untuk kejadian yang sedang dialami saya saat ini, how happy i am. Tapi pasti Allah menginginkan yang terbaik untuk saya. I know that. :)
